Fire
Alarm Servicing & Maintenance from Pyrogard
Alarm
functions and controls to be checked and confirm correct operation.
Confirm all detectors are operational and their interconnections are in full working order.
Ensure
a clear space is maintained around each detector, and no detector is covered or
contaminated.
Ensure
the end user is in possession of information on the operation of the system
including the appropriate actions taken in the event of fire or fault signals.
Ensure
the end user has the correct information on avoidance of false alarms.
The
following tests/ inspections, as a minimum are required to be undertaken as
part the service, together with any other requirements necessary to comply with
the relevant legislation, regulations, standards and good practice.
· Inspecting log book
· Checking false alarm records
· Battery checking and testing
· Checking and testing of control panel functions
· Testing of fire alarm devices
· Checking and testing of all fault indicators and circuits
· Other checks and tests recommended by the manufacturer
· Reporting of outstanding defects
· Completing log book
· Issuing servicing certificate
· Actions required during the test:
· Isolate any plant or systems as necessary prior to initiating the fire alarm system.
· Check that where buildings have more than one FA panel, that all panels activate and all sounders operate throughout the building.
